🌀 Grounding Through Movement & Music

In today’s session, I guided my client through a simple yet powerful grounding technique:

🎶 We played soft instrumental music
🖊️ Took a pen
📄 And let the hand move freely on paper with the flow of the music

No rules. No goals. Just presence.

This technique helps bring awareness to the body, regulate emotions, and gently anchor the mind when it feels overwhelmed or scattered.

Grounding doesn’t always need to be complex — it can start with a line. 💚

This activity:

✅ Helps slow down anxious thoughts
✅ Engages the body without pressure
✅ Encourages free expression
✅ Builds a mindful pause between emotion and reaction

It’s a creative way to practice grounding — especially for those who find verbal techniques overwhelming.
