U.S FDA has approved Monoclonal Antibody Therapy for COVID Treatment for emergency use.
Monoclonal antibody therapy gives 85% success rate on COVID Treatment with mild and moderate symptoms. Early treatment with monoclonal antibodies may prevent high-risk COVID-19 patients from progressing to more severe disease or hospitalization. This therapy is also approved by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI).
As of May 17, 2021 The U.S. FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has authorized two treatments of monoclonal antibody (mAb) for emergency use:
1. Etesevimab and bamlanivimab
2. REGEN-COV (casirivimab and imdevimab).
