Sai Kripa Bangla Sansthan, Kolkata is a philanthropic organization, still in a very nascent stage ,formed under the umbrella of Shirdi Sai Global Foundation, Delhi. It aims to undertake miscellaneous programmes for promotion of the social and economic welfare and upliftment of the downtrodden sections especially in rural areas of West Bengal. Some of the focus areas would include special medical camps, disability issues, skill training, assistance for developing local/traditional arts and crafts, gender empowerment,etc. Besides, stress would also be on inculcating spiritual values and propagation of general spiritual wisdom among public. Shirdi Sai Global Foundation, in association with Sai Kripa Bangla Sansthan hosted a programme ‘Sai Sayanhe- A Tribute To Shirdi Sai” on the evening of 9th of August 2015 at GD Birla Sabhaghar, Ballygunge, Kolkata. The highlights included release of Dr CB Satpathyji's Guru Bhagavat, Vol.III (Bengali), and release of Bengali audio CD on Shri Sai Satcharitra, discourse by Dr CB Satpathyji, dance performance by Arnab Bandopadhyay and group, audio play -"Matritirthey-Ek Sanyasi" by Satinath Mukhopadhyay and group and bhajans by Sai Mitr group, Antara Chakraborty and Suvomita. The programme was graced by the presence of Guruji Dr C B Satpathy, a spiritual thinker and philanthropist, who is pioneering the global Shirdi Sai movement, highlighting its relevance in the contemporary world and working to improve the welfare of others in the spirit of Sai Baba’s teachings of compassion and tolerance. Besides providing rich spiritual literature in various forms including multi-lingual books and audio CDs, Dr. Satpathy has contributed innumerable writings in print and e-magazines published in national and international
languages. He has addressed various fora within and outside the country. His philanthropic work through Shirdi Sai Global Foundation and other organizations, his setting up of world-wide spiritual cultural centers, his 25 years of service to humanity, his honours and recognitions, have made him and a cosmic light house to many a wayfarer on life's pathway . Shri C B Satpathy is the Patron and guiding force of more than hundred Charitable Trusts spread across India and such organisations in USA, Australia, UK, Canada and South Africa. Almost all the Charitable Organisations created under his patronage run dispensaries providing free medical facilities (Allopathic / Homoeopathic) facilities, conduct poor feeding, distribute clothes to the needy and conduct other such charitable activities. A great believer of simplicity, Dr Satpathy has emerged as an icon for the people seeking solutions to their materialistic, psychological, and health concerns and for those eager for active spiritual Gurujee, an ardent devotee of Shri Shirdi Sai has dedicated himself to the mission of spreading his message of humanism, purity, love, compassion, tolerance and provides guidance to all seekers who have come in contact with him. He demonstrates by his own example how to mentally dwell in Sai consciousness while performing day to day duties of the material world, thereby providing much needed solace in our fast moving world. Dr Satpathy, was invited to open the US House of Representatives (HoR) House as Guest Chaplain. This is a rare honour, having been bestowed on an Indian Citizen in the 228 years old tradition, dating as far back as the 18th Century, of a Guest Chaplain. The opening invocation provides a wonderful opportunity to affirm Spiritual leaders from many different
backgrounds. Dr Satpathy’s address to the US Congress as Guest Chaplain on 24th June, 2015 was a remarkable moment for all. The packed audience on the 9th August at GD Birla Sabhagar,Ballygunge, Kolkata, had in its midst devotees from Delhi, Assam, Orissa, Jharkhand,as well as some from overseas-from US and UK, Senior bureaucrats, renowned doctors,and cultural figures too soaked in the words of wisdom of Dr. CB Satpathyji besides viewing in rapt attention the splendid performances on stage.
