Celebrating science and sound!

Anwesha Kolkata recently took center stage at the Gopal Chandra Bhattacharya to champion a vital cause: Ear and Hearing Care.

Held at Jadavpur N K Pal Adarsha Sikshayatan (Jan 27–29), the fair was a vibrant hub of young innovation. While students showcased brilliant sustainable models—from wind turbines to eco-friendly charts—our Team 2 focused on the "science of sound" and the importance of hearing health.

Highlights of Our Participation:

Interactive Awareness: We engaged with students, teachers, and visitors to break myths about hearing health.

Visual Learning: Our team successfully screened awareness videos and displayed models of ear structures to simplify complex biology.

Tech Showcase: Visitors got a firsthand look at professional hearing test equipment, bridging the gap between clinical care and community awareness.

We believe that developing a "scientific temper" isn't just about building models—it's about understanding our own bodies and becoming responsible stewards of our health and our planet.

A huge shoutout to the young scientists and the organizers for fostering such an inspiring environment for experiential learning!

We are thrilled to share the success of our recent Programme, held in the serene Jhalong village of Kalimpong. From January 22–25, 2026, Bondhu and Anwesha Kolkata joined forces to host a transformative experience for a group of resilient deaf young adults.

: Participants mastered the art of adapting to North Bengal’s cold weather, kicking off every morning with high-energy physical exercises.

: Navigating mountain roads, our group explored the heart of local culture while building physical endurance.

: Through dedicated team-building activities, participants learned the true value of collaboration and communication.

: With hearts full of courage, the group successfully crossed the Jaldhaka River, proving that no barrier is too great when met with confidence.

This wasn't just a trip; it was a deep dive into the Core Life Skills needed for independence. Our participants walked away not just with memories, but with a renewed sense of purpose.

We are incredibly proud of these young leaders. We can’t wait to see them channel this re-energized power into their future endeavors!

We are thankful to the team of Fundación Colores de Calcuta for extending the support to conduct the training programme successfully.

Our Anwesha Kolkata was truly one for the books!

We gathered at the beautiful Titli Garden in Baruipur for a day centered around joy, family, and community.

With around 95 participants—including our incredible children, young adults, and their families — the energy was electric. From spirited sports matches to moving performances, our stars truly showcased their talents!

We fueled the fun with delicious breakfast and lunch, and seeing the children’s faces light up as they received their New Year gifts was the perfect way to start 2026.

A massive thank you to our team and families for making this day so special. We are also grateful to Fundación Colores de Calcuta and a few wellwishers who extended the desired support to conduct this programme.
