Ivffreelancing This page is for posting IVF Freelancing requirements. If any IVF clinic needs assistance of any IUI/IVF/ICSI Freelancers or any IVF Lab setup assistance..

If any IVF clinic needs assistance of any IUI/IVF/ICSI Freelancers or any IVF Lab setup assistance can post here. As in India availability of properly trained Embryologists is limited, this page may help those clinics who have facilities but do not have fulltime embryologist to execute batches of IUI/IVF or ICSI. Some clinics also facing problem of compromised ART outcome or pregnancy they can ask for help. Anybody can post here for the requirement of highly trained Embryologists to do Batch IVF. Batch IVF is an economic alternative of that problem. Freelancing IVF Clinicians and Embryologists can effectively analyze the problem and can assist them by doing batches and can increase IVF pregnancy rate as well take home baby rate. So it is high time to switch in Batch IVF. Post your requirements and ask for assistance here.............

Practical Guide to setting up an IVF lab, embryo culture systems and running the unit- releasing soon by Jaypee Medical Publishers- An authentic collection of chapters by experts in ART on how to set up a state-of-the-art IVF unit and culture systems and day to day lab management guidance..edited by Dr. Alex C Varghese, PhD, Dr. Peter Sjoblom, PhD and Dr. K. Jayaprakasan, MD, MRCOG, PhD

The chapters are written by a select group of international experts in their relevant areas of expertise in assisted reproduction treatment.

The number of new IVF clinics, clinical embryology courses and practical workshops, medical professionals opting for sub-specialization in reproductive medicine are on a rise due to increase in demand. The number of IVF cycles performed in each center is also rising and vary from center to center ranging from 100 to 25000 per year. Last decade has also observed major advances in various laboratory and culture techniques in order to improve the IVF success. However, there is limited availability of collective resources to provide information and guidance to those planning to start new units and to those planning to expand their existing units. People about to start a new venture are always in look out for the right plans, right equipment, quality requirement for a successful program and last but not least the right people with appropriate experience to run the unit. The origin of this book stems from this need of present time. Editors have tried to assemble a galaxy of international experts to make each chapter as a guide for both inexperienced and experienced IVF professionals for setting up a new clinic and running an existing unit in an efficient and effective way.

Aspirin and heparin as adjuvants during IVF do not improve live birth rates in unexplained implantation failure:

A significant proportion of fertility units worldwide advise women to take low-dose aspirin and/or heparin following embryo transfer to improve the chance of embryo implantation, particularly in cases of repeated IVF failure. However, a recent published study from the Nottingham group failed to show any benefit of using low-dose aspirin and/or heparin as adjuvant therapies during IVF in an unselected group of subfertile women who have previously had one or more unexplained implantation failure following IVF. On the contrary, there was a non-significant trend of reducing the chance of live birth in the aspirin and/or heparin group. This cohort–control study recruited 234 consecutive subjects aged 44 years who had previously had one or more unsuccessful IVF cycle. All underwent IVF using conventional long agonist or short antagonist protocols. The study group received aspirin and/or heparin post embryo transfer until the day of pregnancy test or until 12 weeks of pregnancy. The control group did not receive any adjuvant treatment. There was no statistically significant difference in the live birth rate (35.0% versus 47.6%) clinical pregnancy rate (40.8% versus 53.4%) and miscarriage rate (14.3% versus 10.9%) between the study group and the control group. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

WHO workshop ‘Standardizing Semen Analysis- WHO 2010 Criteria’ organized by Academy of Clinical Embryologists-India

Semen Analysis is the cornerstone of evaluation and management of the infertile couple. It is often the only investigation done for the male partner and the results of the analysis very often determine the course and nature of treatment. There is a lot of variation in the way in which the semen analysis is carried out in different labs. The reference ranges used are different, the procedure and the personnel carrying out vary too. This variability makes comparison, communication and interpretation difficult. WHO (World Health
Organization) has formulated the new criteria for semen analysis in 2010. The new criteria are more evidence based and reflect the fertility potential of infertile male more accurately.

In order to standardize the technique of semen analysis in accordance with the WHO 2010 criteria, ACE is organizing a two day hands on workshop at Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore from 11th to 16th February 2013. The lead faculty, Dr. Daniel Franken is the Director of Reproductive Research Lab at University of Stellenbosch, Tygerberg, South Africa. He is involved in development of the new WHO criteria and has conducted numerous semenology workshops across the world. This is a hands on workshop with one microscope per candidate and close interaction with faculty. The seats are limited to 30 candidates in each city.
