Anemia fact: Anemia is a condition in which you don’t have enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to your tissues. Having anemia may make you feel exhausted.

There are many forms of anemia, each with its own cause. Loss of blood is the most common cause of anemia. Anemia can be temporary or long term, and it can range from mild to severe.

See your doctor if you suspect you have anemia because anemia can be a sign of serious illnesses. Treatments for anemia range from taking supplements to undergoing medical procedures. You may be able to prevent some types of anemia by eating a healthy, varied diet.

Gallbladder fact: Cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder. Your gallbladder is a small, pear-shaped organ on the right side of your abdomen, just beneath your liver. The gallbladder holds a digestive fluid called bile that’s released into your small intestine.

In most cases, cholecystitis is caused by gallstones that block the tube leading out of your gallbladder. This results in a buildup of bile that can cause inflammation. Other causes of cholecystitis include bile duct problems and tumors.

If left untreated, cholecystitis can lead to serious complications, such as a gallbladder that becomes enlarged or that ruptures. Once diagnosed, cholecystitis requires a hospital stay. Treatment for cholecystitis is removal of the gallbladder.

হবু মা অথবা নতুন মায়েদের স্তন্যপান নিয়ে অনেক প্রশ্ন থাকে। সন্তানকে ঠিক কখন থেকে স্তন্যপান করাতে হবে, কিংবা সন্তানের কত বয়স পর্যন্ত স্তন্যপান করাতে হবে - মূলত এই প্রশ্নগুলোরই সম্মুখীন হই আমরা। আসলে সন্তানের জন্মের এক ঘণ্টার মধ্যেই শুরু করাতে হবে স্তন্যপান। এতে আপনার সন্তানের ইমিউনিটি তৈরি হবে এবং মনে রাখবেন, স্তনদুগ্ধ পানের মাধ্যমেই শিশুর ইমিউনিটি বাড়ে। তাই যত তাড়াতাড়ি সম্ভব স্তন্যপান শুরু করানো জরুরি। এ ছাড়াও রইল কিছু সাধারণ প্রশ্নের উত্তর।
