Gastrointestinal, Peritoneal Surface (HIPEC & PIPAC), Thoracic, Robotic, Breast, and Gynecological Cancer Superspecialist Surgeon Dr. Shouptik Basu is a young and dynamic Surgical Oncologist with multiple gold medals in MBBS and MS, along with a National Gold Medal in DNB. He has also trained in HIPEC Surgery abroad under European Board of Peritoneal Surface
Oncology. He specializes in Gastrointestinal Cancers (Stomach, Colon, Rectum, Gall Bladder, Pancreas, Liver), Thoracic Cancers (Esophagus, Lung, and Chest Wall Tumours), and brings a rich experience in Peritoneal Surface Malignancies, with advanced expertise in HIPEC and PIPAC, from his past insitution AIIMS and Europe. He also performs Minimal Access Cancer Surgery, Gynecological Cancer Surgery and has a keen interest in Robotic Surgery. Dr. Basu is currently working as a Full Time Consultant Cancer Surgeon at Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre and Research Institute and is incharge of Thoracic Oncology and HIPEC and PIPAC Surgeries. Inspite of having a busy schedule he loves to teach and serves as a mentor for junior trainee surgeons pursuing General Surgery or DNB Cancer Surgery, in his institute.
