It is of so much pain seeing persons of earning age group dying from complications of alcohol use disorder including liver failure, accidents, psychosis etc. Contrary to common belief, there is no ‘safe alcohol drinking’ in current scenario looking at physical activity, life style and eating habits.
Important challenge for preventing harmful drinking are lack of integrated care.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who come together to solve their drinking problem. It doesn’t cost anything to attend A.A. meetings. There are no age or education requirements to participate. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem.
Now we have active meeting place for these persons nearby hepatology and AUD clinic(deaddiction clinic)
Hope this integrated approach will solve problem of many who are in need.
