🌸✨ Navratri Bhog – Day 1 ✨🌸
Did you know that on the first day of Navratri, Maa Shailputri is offered pure ghee as bhog? 🧈
In our tradition, ghee isn’t just food – it’s a symbol of purity, strength, and vitality.

As a dietician, I call it liquid gold because:
✅ It nourishes your gut with butyric acid
✅ Boosts absorption of Vit A, D, E & K
✅ Lubricates joints & strengthens bones
✅ Provides sustained energy without sugar crashes

And yes… ghee can even support weight management when consumed mindfully (thanks to CLA that boosts fat metabolism 💪).

So this Navratri, let’s take inspiration from our traditions and add a little ghee love into our thalis – for both health and devotion 🌼

❤️

💛 Would you prefer ghee in your paratha, khichdi, or just a spoonful with warm milk?

Client Story: “One day in April I was checking the internet for weight loss at home' I did not expect an app that would deliver beyond my thoughts.
My weight loss journey here has been
amazing. The coaches guiding regularly and working with my limitations. My knowledge of food and exercise has improved a lot. Thanks to my Nutrition guide - Shakshi for guiding me what to eat and what to not, now food is no longer tension for me. I thought I cannot exercise with my bad back pain but here my fitness Coach - Nishant suggested me some exercises which surprisingly I was able to do.
So overall it is amazing experience and it is still going on.”

Overnight Mango Oats!
Quick and Easy to make.

Overnight Oats soaked either in milk or curd make the best protein rich breakfast. In a fast going life we hardly have any time for our meals. Thus, in such scenario this can be very helpful especially for working women who have to manage their work and home at the same time.

I know Mango is not seasonal now-a-days but you can replace Mango with any fruit of your choice which are seasonal and local.

To add more flavours one can add cinnamon, cardamom and saffron to it.

Just when we talk about malnutrition, it becomes really important to teach our kids about the importance of eating good and healthy.
We must focus on helping and guiding them to choose right food choices in order to make their today and tomorrow healthy and better.
Other than protein and energy, micronutrient deficiencies like Anemia, Iodine Deficiency, Vitamin B12 Deficiency, Calcium and Vitamin D deficiencies are also common in children now-a-days. These deficiencies have long lasting impact on their health. Thus it becomes really important to make children aware of these health problems and ask them to make right food choices.

These pictures are of last year when I along with my seniors and colleagues went to this "Gali Pathshala" where we had fun discussion with those growing buds about a Balanced Diet and it's importance. It's always fun to interact these creative minds because they make us learn so many new things about everything.

The first 1,000 days of life - the time spanning roughly between conception and one’s second birthday - is a unique period of opportunity when the foundations of optimum health, growth, and neurodevelopment across the lifespan are established.Yet too frequently in developing countries, poverty and its attendant condition, malnutrition, weaken this foundation, leading to earlier mortality and significant morbidities such as poor health, and more insidiously, substantial loss of neurodevelopmental potential.
As a species, we have come from a history of "malnutrition" being synonymous with "undernutrition" - the serious lack of obtaining even adequate amounts of nutrition. In the modern era, while undernutrition remains the major challenge worldwide, we humans are now faced with the negative effects of "overnutrition" in the form of obesity and risky nutrition in the form of unbalanced diets or diets contaminated with potential toxins. Each of these conditions can be considered "malnutrition" in the true sense of the word’s roots (bad nutrition) and each has been linked with poor nutritional intake during those "first 1000 days of life"

Thus, contributing towards making India healthy by counseling new mothers and would be mothers about importance of nutrition for them and their child.

Fruit Parfait has been my all time favourite because it's not only very easy and quick to prepare but is equally nutritious.

P.S. It's a best way to incorporate fruits in your daily life. You can have it either as your mid morning meal or as evening snack.
