Most gut issues aren’t starting in the gut.
They’re starting in the nervous system.
Your digestive system is designed to work only when your body feels safe.
This is when stomach acid, enzymes, gut motility, and absorption actually function the way they’re meant to.
But chronic stress — emotional, mental, or even unprocessed — keeps the body stuck in fight, flight, or freeze.
And in that state, digestion becomes a “non-essential” function.
So bloating, constipation, tightness, IBS flare-ups, or that heavy uncomfortable feeling after meals aren’t random. They’re signs that your body doesn’t feel safe enough to fully digest — not that you’re broken or doing something wrong.
This is where breathwork becomes powerful.
In my Breathwork for Gut Health sessions on Soul Sensei, the goal isn’t to control symptoms. It’s to signal safety to the nervous system, so the gut can do what it already knows how to do.
The vagus nerve is the main communication highway between your brain and your gut. When it’s supported, digestion improves naturally — not through force, but through regulation.
These sessions are especially supportive if your gut symptoms:
• worsen during emotional stress
• flare up during anxiety or overwhelm
• improve when you feel calm but return under pressure
Your body isn’t fighting you.
It’s asking for safety, slowness, and regulation.
If your gut has been trying to get your attention, this is a gentle way to listen.
Join me on Soul Sensei — and let your breath guide your body back to balance 🤍
