Course Philosophy

This manual therapy programme is aimed at merging the examination of the joint, muscle and neural systems into an integrated holistic examination procedure. MTFI gives strong emphasis on teaching students and clinicians the ability to perform an accurate and specific manual therapy examination. The examination process developed by MTFI draws the concepts based on the works of Cyriax, Mennell, Maitland, McConnell, Edwards, Elvey, Butler, Lee, Jull, Kaltenborn, Myers and Mohanty. MTFI believes that the merger of the work of these manual therapists into one concept provides a more realistic, multifactorial approach to the examination and treatment procedure. In addition the Manual therapy Concepts provided by MTFI involves thorough Clinical Reasoning and Evidence Based Practice in order to cope with the recent trends.

Significance of Konark Chakra (Wheel)

During the G20 summit Honorable Prime Minister of Bharat Shri. Narendra Modi ji greeted and welcomed the invited World leaders with the backdrop of Konark Wheel.

Honorable Prime Minister Shri.Narendra Modi ji welcomed US President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Brazil President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in front of the depicted Konark wheel.

The monument at Konark, Odisha is dedicated to the sun god Surya and shaped like a gigantic chariot with 7 horses on 12 pairs of beautifully decorated wheels was built during the reign of King Narasimhadeva-I in the year 1250 CE.The name Konark is combination of two Sanskrit words ( Kona meaning Corner or Angle, Arka meaning the Sun).

The 7 horses represent the days of a week
,12 pairs of wheels at Konark represent the 12 months of the year and the 24 wheels indicate 24 hours of a day. As for 8 major spokes, they signify prahars (three hour period) of a day. The wheel has 8 wider or major spokes and 8 thinner or minor spokes. The distance between two major spokes is 3 hours while the same between a major spoke and a minor spoke is 90 minutes. There are 30 beads at the edge of the wheel between one major spoke to the next minor spoke and they divide the 90 minutes.

Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore once described it as a place “where the language of man is defeated by the language of stone”.

The Konark chakra is an architectural marvel illustrating the civilizational concepts of time, space, continuity and the future.

As G20 theme "One Earth, One Family, One Future " . Hence the theme of Konark chakra at G20 synchronises with time, continuity and future with marvelous human creativity.

G20 at New Delhi was a grand success and All the best wishes for the future G20 summit.
