This a such a bittersweet tale of friendship.. When I first met Karishma,my cousin introduced us as they had come to meet her since she was already diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.. I met her too,and immediately connected over light Goan breakfast, came home and I was scared of falling in friendship with someone who had few days left,so i thought i wouldnt get too close,to keep myself safe from all this.. She called me one day and told me to hang out she likes my company and I would drive and take her to beach, over days we connected so much, she had embraced life so beautifully, she would say,I'm so lucky that i know when I'll die,i have time to make my life more beautiful and prepare for death.. We would read books on death and wonder what it is like..Her spiritual journey was so amazing and she wud tell me I know u have superpowers and hopefully I'll connect to you when Ure sitting on the beach and tell you what happens on other side of life..
I would call her and everytime hope she is alive to hang out today,if she didn't pick,i would wait till she calls back and it would light up my face, until a few days ago,I called her,she never picked and never called back, took the courage and asked my cousin and he told me she passed away few days ago.. These pictures were taken by my dad,who clicks each and every moment, neither do I have any regret for not having some more because there and so many memories in my mind which never will be lost.. Long live Karishma, we'll surely connect one day sitting on Goan beach ⛱️
