This weekend in Hastings, we had the opportunity and blessing of spending time with BV Sadhu Maharaj, who guided us deeper into the heart of Gauranga Mahaprabhu’s teachings.
On Saturday, Maharaj spoke on Dasa Mula Tattva — the living truths that can awaken our relationship with the divine. We were reminded that we are eternal, that Krishna is reality full of consciousness and joy, and that loving service is the essence of our nature. The teachings felt like a remembering of who we truly are.
On Sunday, we celebrated the Chida-Dahi festival, honouring the lila of Raghunath Das Goswami, who offered yoghurt and chipped rice with such love that Mahaprabhu accepted it personally. Maharaj spoke of the humility and sincerity of that moment — that in devotion, it’s not the grandeur of the offering but the heart behind it that touches Krishna.
Together, these two days reminded us that the path of bhakti is both vast in wisdom and simple in practice: to live with sincerity, humility, and love
