Many temples were built for fire across the world. If you use very powerful reverberations in the form of mantras, the fire approximately takes that form and you will suddenly feel that there is a certain freedom and a release within you. In the Yogic system, there are various processes where no external fire is lit, but all the fires lit are within. This is what you hear from ancient times, that the Yogis were doing “tapas”. The word tapa means heat or fire. So, you are generating your own fire. External help is needed when internal possibilities are not so big, but if internal possibilities are created, no external help is needed.

Paschimottanasana (the posterior stretch or forward bend).

The word ‘paschim’ meaning ‘west’ is used in the context of posterior of the body and ‘uttana’ for stretching. The need for spinal fitness is obvious. The practice of this Asana and its final form also brings about a sense of achievement with humility.

Benefits of Paschimottanasana:
⭐The posterior stretch to spine helps in correcting minor deformities of the curvature of the spine and improves blood circulation.
⭐Deep intra-abdominal compression massages the abdominal viscera– provides relief in conditions related to constipation, weak digestion, sluggish liver.
⭐Stretches the superficial and deep muscles of the legs, shoulders and the back.

In Sanskrit “Ashwa” means “Horse”, “Sanchalan” means “movement or stepping”, “Yoga Asana” means “pose”. English name is “Equestrian or riding pose”. It is also known as “Low Lunge Pose”.

Benefits of Ashwa Sanchalanasana :
⭐helps in Constipation, infertility, low backache, osteoporosis, sciatica, menstrual discomfort.
