We’re starting this series with one of the most important lifts in strength training: the deadlift.

Why first? Because no other exercise trains your hamstrings, glutes, lower back, lats, and grip strength in one powerful move.

Done right, it builds your entire posterior chain. Done wrong, it risks your spine.

❌ Deadlift mistakes that hurt progress:
• Rounded lower back
• Hips rising too fast
• Bar drifting away from body
• Pulling with arms instead of legs

✅ Deadlift form cues that build strength:
• Chest tall, shoulders back, spine neutral
• Push the ground away — don’t yank with arms
• Bar close to shins & thighs
• Brace your core, hips & shoulders rise together
• Lock out with glutes, not by hyperextending

A clean deadlift technique is equal to safe gains, stronger lifts, and long-term results.
