Have you recognized your madness and do you admit it? Have you noticed that all your foundations are completely mired in madness? Do you not want to recognize your madness and welcome it in a friendly manner? You wanted to accept everything. So accept madness too. Let the light of your madness shine, and it will suddenly dawn on you. Madness is not to be despised and not to be feared, but instead you should give it life...If you want to find paths, you should also not spurn madness, since it makes up such a great part of your nature...Be glad that you can recognize it, for you will thus avoid becoming its victim. Madness is a special form of the spirit and clings to all teachings and philosophies, but even more to daily life, since life itself is full of craziness and at bottom utterly illogical. Man strives toward reason only so that he can make rules for himself. Life itself has no rules. That is its mystery and its unknown law. What you call knowledge is an attempt to impose something comprehensible on life.

You Win!
You survived another day. You made it.
It may still be difficult, it may get even worse but know that you will be alright because this too shall pass.

To myself...

Writing a letter of all the things you regret and all the things you hace accomplished so far would be a great way to get in touch with your inner feelings and be more self-aware.

It helps in recounting goals that you had set for yourself, track what has been achieved and what you had to let go. It's also a great aid in helping one self set goals or the future.

The Weekend Interview

This exercise works best when done regularly. It can be added to your journal or your notes app as a self tracker.

Don’t rush through this self-assessment. Take the necessary time to reflect on each area of your life. If you rush, you’ll miss out on the value of self-reflection.

Note down any thoughts or memories that come up while you are in the process of this assessment. Ponder over them for a while, let them tell you what they need too.

🍂A simple guide to get you started on Self-Reflection.🍂 These exercises need not take more than 15 minutes of your time either on a weekly or monthly basis. You are free to use a journal or your notes app (it's recommended you write your observations down so you could go back to them whenever needed)

Make sure you're comfortable and wouldn't be distributed while participating in this exercise.
Set the mood according to your liking. You could light up a candle or simply curl up in your favorite nook at home.

If you realize you need more than 15 min to give yourself another 5-10 minutes but don't let yourself ponder for more than that.
Exercise #2 will be out soon🌤

What is Self-Reflection?

Self-Reflection is the process of bringing your attention to what’s happening in your life in a mindful and open-minded way.
It is the ability to exercise introspection and the willingness to learn more about one's fundamental nature, purpose, and essence.

Making time for regular self-reflection can help in creating a positive mindset and building a greater connection with yourself. It invites you to detach yourself from certainties and to challenge rigid ideologies.

Practicing regular self-reflection takes willingness and discipline, which is not an easy thing for many people to do. Like introspection, reflection allows you to gain perspective while also giving you time to process what you have learned about yourself.

Once you have learned enough, reflection lets you examine the consequences of your words and actions. It also enables you to consider the most helpful way to act in a given situation.

It helps you challenge your most rigid thoughts and beliefs. Giving you some space to question what makes you think the way you do?

It does not only dwell on the past but also on the progress you have made so far. Reflection can be your customized progress tracker if done correctly and regularly.

Lastly, reflecting on what's going on in your life and mind helps in inspiring self- acceptance. What are my thoughts about myself and what made these thoughts stay? How can these notions help me? And so on.

The next few posts shall revolve around exercises that can help you get started with your journey towards self-reflection.

What Is Introspection?

We often think about our feelings and emotions and how it has affected our lives, but there is a way to do this that brings focus, purpose, and a better overall understanding.

The concept of introspection can be perceived both as an informal reflection process and a more formalized experimental approach in Psychology. In the simplest form, introspection is a way of looking inward and examining one's internal thoughts and feelings.
Introspection can be a great source of personal knowledge as it provides information that is not possible in any other way. It can help people make connections between different experiences and their responses to it.

How to correctly introspect?

1. Create room for it: It doesn't need to take up all of your time, even a few mins on a regular basis is more than enough.

2. Be with yourself: Use the time you give yourself to be with you. It could be over a short walk, while journaling or while enjoying your daily cup of tea/coffee. Just make sure you wouldn't be interrupted for those few moments.
3. Ask deep yet open-ended questions: what do I like about myself? Where do I see myself 5 years from now? What am I passionate about? These questions should be enough to lead up to any follow-up explorations.

4. Listen don't judge: the more you judge yourself the more you hide from yourself. Let yourself like the time you spend with you.

5. Take notes: mentally or grab a diary. You could always use your notes app as long as you don't let your phone distract yourself. You should have your full attention.

What Is Self-Awareness and Why Is It Important?

Self-awareness is the ability to see yourself clearly and objectively through reflection and introspection. It requires being aware of different aspects of one self, which includes one's traits, feelings, beliefs, motivation and behaviour.

As the world comes together during this period of issolation it's important to stay in touch with yourselves first. Self-awareness enables us to experience ourselves as unique individuals. It allows self regulation, that empowers us to build on our strengths, make any changes in our personality and identify areas where we would like to make improvements.

Self Awareness could be seen as the first step towards physical and mental health. It does not only aid towards enhancing emotional intelligence but also gives recognition and direction to your efforts.
