Aah s**t, here we go again!

It’s festive season going on in India and gyms are beginning to get less crowded.

Which is a good thing for people who actually give a f**k about their healths and show up regularly regardless of festivals and what not.

By the end of the year, which is not too far away, there will be barely 5-6 people working out. That’s then our festival starts!🤣🔥💪🏻

Then, in January all or a sudden people will feel guilty for stuffing their faces with oily, sugary stuff causing them to crowd up the gyms again!

You can make any exercise more challanging for your clients if you see them doing it too easily with minimal effort.

Being a personal trainer is not just about possessing knowledge but also about how you use the knowledge you possess to best suit your client’s goals.

It takes a creative mind to add nuances and variations to the exercises you have been making them perform.

Especially when you have a client like who owns a brand that stands for creativity among other values you do need to stimulate your brain to keep things interesting 🔥🙌🏻💪🏻

Challenging his pecs, delts, triceps and core after a brutal push day to see how well they fire after exhaustion.
A regular plank is relatively easy for him now.

Try this in your next workout if you find a conventional plank easy!

We’re so busy chasing our goals that seldom do we focus on habits that get us to our goals.

Here are three take-aways from the book Atomic Habits by James Clear which will get you to your goals faster and keep you going when you don’t feel motivated enough to put in the work:

1. Focus on systems that get you to your goals.

Eg: if you want to grow muscles you first need to build a system/habits that get you to the gym consistently and push you to improve.

2. If you want to bring a change in yourself start identifying yourself in a different way than you have until now.

Eg: if you want to quit smoking stop identifying yourself as a smoker. When someone offeres you a smoke, instead if saying, “I’m not a smoker”, say “I’m too health conscious to smoke”.

3. Make small changes in your routine and habits to bring a big change in the long run.

Eg: if you goal is to wake up early use your phone a few hours less the day before, sleep just 1 hour early the night before, get atleast 10 mins of exercise to start with.
Eventually things will pick the momentum and you’ll notice a huge difference maybe a month down the line.
