You have a healthy baby — why are you so sad? This is a question many mothers hear, and few know how to answer.
As mental health practitioners, we’ve seen how maternal mental health is often buried under layers of silence, duty, and generational expectations — especially in cultures where motherhood is idealised but not emotionally supported.
Rage, numbness, guilt, anxiety, and burnout don’t make you a bad mother. They make you a human one. Today, on World Maternal Mental Health Day, lets take a moment to not judge mothers. And lets try continuing that on other days too.
Let’s hold space for their minds, not just their milestones. 💛
