On May 9th, 2017, I stood at *Everest Base Camp* not just to climb, but to listen.
To the wind. To my breath. And to the quiet voice within that often gets drowned in the noise of life.
That trek taught me something I carry into my work even today:
It’s never really about the summit. It’s about *the journey.*
A cup of warm tea at high altitude.
Laughter in freezing temperatures.
Tiny steps after long pauses to catch our breath.
These small moments whispered that what we often forget, *joy doesn’t need to be loud.*
We paused often to acclimatise, not out of weakness, but *wisdom.*
And just like that, in leadership and life, *slowing down* is sometimes the smartest move you can make.
And the biggest lesson of all?
*Purpose-driven people* and teams go farther than those just chasing profit.
Because when *happiness and alignment* lead the way, performance naturally follows.
So today, on *Everest Day*, I’m not just remembering a mountain…
I’m celebrating every person brave enough to walk their own path slowly, mindfully, and with heart.
*What’s your Everest right now* and are you remembering to *enjoy the journey?*
