Our mind has a tendency to run to the future. Planning, thinking of all possible outcomes and always worried about it. In this process we forget about what we have in the present or what we feel in the present.

But life is happening right here right now so let a future goal be a point sometime ahead and practice, keeping your mind and your body together in the present and let time move through you. Let the future goal come to you instead of you running behind it.

Resting is different from sleeping. It means actively taking a break from whatever you are doing and giving the break to the mind. Doing NOTHING!

One of the most important learnings I have got from yoga therapy is the importance of REST. We are living in this world where Doing something all the time is motivated and encouraged. But REST is a preparation to do those things better. It harmonising the system at many levels.

Dwesha (Aversion) is a block towards spiritual growth. Many develop a tendency to be averse or reject the negative things, situations or thoughts. Also concepts that we think are negative. (Like anger, s*x etc.). The more we are averse it becomes bigger in our minds. Yoga teaches us to embrace it. And grow beyond it.
