Meet out Happy Patient, Mr. Mukesh Kumar !!
The patient was admitted with altered sensorium and multiple episodes of vomiting. He had a known history of diabetes mellitus and had recently attended the Kumbh Mela with his family. Upon returning, he developed these symptoms.
A thorough evaluation revealed severe metabolic acidosis, significantly elevated blood sugar levels, and dehydration. He was diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), and prompt treatment was initiated. By the next day, his sensorium had improved, and his condition stabilized. Once all parameters returned to normal, he was discharged the following day.
Patient was successfully treated under the expert care of Dr. Vijay SIngh (Consultant Intensivist - Trome Hospital, Muzaffarpur).
