Yoga Philosophy
This part of the camp will focus on establishing conceptual clarity about Yogic history, philosophy, personal spiritual growth & the profession of Yoga teaching. The topics taught & discussed are,
1. What is Yoga Vidya, Yogic knowledge & its purpose in the Upanishads?
2. Brief history of Yoga, from past to present
3. Fundamentals of Yogic theory & practice – as a student & as a teacher
4. Key concepts of Sankhya Darshana & Yoga Sutra
5. Entrepreneurship & efficiency for Yoga teachers
6. Money & people management for Yoga teachers
Yoga Practice
This part of the camp will focus on establishing strong connection with our bodies, exploring the biomechanical aspects of stability & coordination in physical movements & developing an anatomical lens.
The class includes theory, practice & demonstration, & the topics taught will be, focusing on the foundational elements to build strength & mobility in the Spine, Hips & Shoulders. We will also focus on subtle Pranayama practices and elements of Abhyanga & deep tissue massage.
