We had a wonderful event yesterday as we celebrated the ISCCM day culminating in the week long ISCCM/ critical care awareness week.

70 participants participated making it a grand success...

The program was inaugurated by
Dr. Basavangowdappa , Vice Chancellor JSSAHER in the presence of senior physician and columnist Dr. Javeed Nayeem and EC members.
Dr. Basavangowdappa delivered the chief guest address asking the youngsters to concentrate on the team building , networking and use of technology as much as possible including AI to get the best results

Dr. Javeed Nayeem, senior physician lauded the efforts of Intensivist during COVID and having partnered seasoned physicians and clinicians ...

His talk was punctuated with wit and humour which he is known for.

Dr. Madhuprakash and Dr. Veenu senior cardiothoracic surgeons and cardiologists spoke about their perspectives and collaboration with Intensivists in betterment of patient outcomes...

Dr. Basavaraj, MD and CEO of Nirmala Multi-speciality Hospital drove home the point of how Intensivists and critical care units are the nerve centres of Hospitals..

Dr. Mohan kumar, Dr.Jayaraj and Dr. Raghunath chaired the sessions.

Dr. Prashant Kumar K welcomed the gathering.

Dr. Vaidyanathan R, Chairman briefed the audience about ISCCM and introduced the guests.

Dr. Akshay spoke on the theme of ISCCM Safely, Synergy and Standards.

Dr. Sahana spoke on the new drug Tedizolid.

Dr. Anil Kumar MR, treasurer proposed the vote of thanks .

ISCCM Monthly meet August 2025 on the theme of Molecular diagnostics.

Dr Mohan Kumar spoke on the role and inpactvof molecular diagnostics in the early and effective diagnosis of ICU infections.

Dr. Ramachandran, trainee from Cauvery Heart and Multi-speciality Hospital ( Mentor: Dr. Vaidyanathan R ) presented an interesting case series with severe ICU infections treated successfully with early identification based on PCR techniques...

Dr. Ramakrishna, Dr. Mahadev, Dr. Raghavendra ( consultant Microbiologist) and Dr. Usha ( Consultant Microbiologist) chaired the session.

Program had excellent deliberations and meaningful take homes for trainees attended by more than 60 members

ISCCM inaugural monthly meet on JULY after new team took over on the theme of Invasive Fungal Infections.
Dr. Naveen S presented an overall insight on Invasive Fungal infections.
Dr . Niranjan presented an interesting case on Mucor UTI.
Dr. Vaidyanathan R , Chairman presented a topic on Newer antifungal drugs.

Program was chaired by senior Intensivists Dr. Raghunath and Dr. Narahari.

The program was well attended by 80+!delegates with meaningful insights .
