Online Galo Folk “ANNV YUUNAM” Competition 2025

🗓 W.E.F: 8th October – 28th October 2025
🏁 Result Declaration: The results of the competition will be formally announced on 5th November 2025 — on the auspicious eve of XWRMEN BAQGII ALO at Mopin Solung Ground, Itanagar. Winners will be felicitated during the celebration programme.

All interested individuals and groups from the Galo community are warmly invited to participate in this unique online folk competition dedicated to promoting and preserving our traditional heritage through music, art, and performance.
Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility: Participation is strictly limited to individuals belonging to the Indigenous Galo community.
2. Group/Individual Participation: Each participating team must consist of a minimum of six (6) members. However, individual (solo) participants are also eligible to take part.
3. Attire: All participants are required to perform in authentic traditional attire that reflects and complements the cultural theme of their presentation.
4. Submission: Participants must submit their video performance along with lyrics either via WhatsApp or by providing a pen drive to the organizing committee.
5. Age Limit: No age restrictions. Participants of all age groups are welcome to showcase their talent.
6. Video Format: Videos must be recorded in landscape mode (16:9 aspect ratio) to ensure proper viewing quality.
7. Performance Duration: Each performance should be within 10 minutes. Entries exceeding the time limit may result in mark deduction.
8. Submission Window: All video entries must be submitted via WhatsApp to +91 93661 66534 between 8th October and 28th October 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.

📝 Note: Evaluation will be carried out by a panel of esteemed judges appointed by the Galo Indigenous Faiths and Cultural Council (GIFCC) based on authenticity, creativity, and overall presentation.

This year’s theme emphasizes the importance of safeguarding Galo traditional music, folk art, and cultural values through modern digital platforms. The competition provides a golden opportunity for Galo youth, artists, and elders to unite in spirit and express their ancestral pride through creative performances.
