Because Your Mind Matters🧠 - Always

The "Good Girl" tax is real.
Being the "Good Girl" was rewarded when we were children. We were praised for being quiet, helpful, and "low maintenance." But as adults, that same trait often transforms into Superwoman Syndrome—the inability to say "no" without a mountain of guilt.
If you find yourself managing everyone’s emotions just to "keep the peace," remember: your reliability is actually a childhood survival skill that is now costing you your health.
The shift starts here:
1)Acknowledge the Load: Your hyper-vigilance isn't a personality trait; it's a response to your environment.
2)Prioritize Wellness over "Goodness": Being "well" is more important than being "good" for everyone else.
3) Set the Boundary: Self-care isn't selfish; it’s a medical necessity to regulate your nervous system.
It’s time to retire the cape and start being well. 🤍

Dear "Superwoman," it’s okay to take the cape off. 🛑
We celebrate women for their resilience, but we rarely talk about the mental toll of resilience. In India, women are often expected to be the "CEO of the Home" and the "Leader at Work" simultaneously.
This invisible "Mental Load" is a leading cause of anxiety and burnout among my female patients. If you feel like you're constantly "on," your nervous system is paying the price.
This Women’s Day, try this:
Identify ONE task you do out of guilt, not necessity. Then, either delegate it, delay it, or drop it.
Your worth is not measured by your productivity. 🤍

Honoured to be invited as a speaker for a one-day guidance workshop for families of persons with mental illness, organised by Eklavya Foundation for Mental Health in collaboration with Nashik Psychiatric Society.

Meaningful conversations with caregivers and families are essential in the prognosis of different mental disorders and barriers in progress. Grateful to contribute to this important initiative. 🌿

**You can’t think your way out of a stress response.**

When you’re on high alert, the amygdala which is the alarm system in your brain takes over and releases cortisol.

And when that happens, your prefrontal cortex ( the rational thinking part of your brain) becomes less active.

That’s why logic doesn’t calm you down.

Movement works because it tells your brain:
“The danger is over.”

Shift the body → the mind follows.

Save this for the next time you feel wired but tired. 🤍

Struggling doesn’t always mean something is “wrong” with you - sometimes it means you’ve been carrying more than you should alone.

Mental health concerns are common, real, and treatable. Early support can make a meaningful difference in how heavy things feel. 🌿

If you’ve been wondering whether it’s time to seek help, this may be your sign to start the conversation.

What feels like being “overly alert” is often your nervous system trying to protect you.
Hypervigilance isn’t who you are - it’s something you learned to survive.

Safety can be relearned, gently and gradually.
Your body deserves moments of calm, too. 🌿

If you're stuck in a thinking loop, try this.
Ask yourself:
• Will this matter in 5 years?
• Will this matter in 5 months?
• Will this matter in 5 days?
If the answer is no - your brain is reacting, not
reasoning.
Before solving the problem, calm the nervous
system:
• Stand up.
• Change rooms.
• Slow your breathing.
• Move your body for 6n seconds.
Clarity comes after regulation.

Valentine’s week can be loud - it’s okay to choose calm instead.
Your worth isn’t defined by comparisons or celebrations.

Slow down, regulate, and do what helps you feel steady.
That’s self-love, too.
