The YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association) is one of the oldest and largest Movements for youth in the world. Founded in 1844, it now operates in 119 countries, and reaching 58 million people. The YMCA works to bring social justice and peace to young people and their communities, regardless of religion, race, gender or culture. The Bombay Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) established in 1875 being the largest non-profit community service organizations in India has worked collaboratively with government and non government organizations and has partnered to provide a range of programmes and services to build strong people, strong families, and strong communities. All the 14 Branches of Bombay YMCA are a beehive of activities all the year round. Be it is sports, camping, social support, physical education, vocational training, counseling etc., there is always something to keep people engaged. Apart from providing facilities like hostels for students and working men, sports facilities and counseling, we work with the tribals of Kharghar hills and the nearby slums in Belapur. Medical camps, study centres, educational support and women empowerment program are provided by the YMCA to these people. Our desire is to provide equal opportunities to the economically challenged community through our facilities and programs. As part of this ongoing mission, some of our young members have initiated a unique project called “Nurture a Goal” from 1st December 2016. In this project 50 children (boys and girls) from the ‘bastis’ in CBD Belapur - in the age group of 8 to 12 are learning Life Skills through football. The program involves systematic continuous laid out coaching program with the help of a professional trained football coach and life skill training programs conducted by volunteers and staff for the overall development of their personality. It is a chance given to develop personal skills, teamwork and learn life lessons The trainees are provided nutrition after every practice and we are in the process of procuring the sports kit and necessary equipment required for the game.

*Nurture A Goal Football Tournament for "YMCA CUP" Organised by YMCA,Navi Mumbai * Organising it's 2nd Open Football tournament for men and women to be held on 11th March 2018 at Fr. Angels Astroturf ,Vashi,Navi Mumbai.

⚽Total Entry: 16 teams for U-15 Boys category

⚽Each team will consist of 6+3 players

⚽👳 Open Category:

Cash Prize -Winners Rs.15000+🏆+🔰

Runners up Open Category- Rs.8000 +🔰

⚽ U-15 Boys:

Winners Rs.6000+🏆+🔰

U-15 Boys Runners up Rs. 4000+🏆+🔰

⚽Tournament will start
On 11th march 2018 from 2 pm onwards

The games will start on time

⚽Entry fee - Rs.1500/- for mens👳
For U-15 Boys 👱‍♂Entry Fee- Rs.500

⚽Last date of entry is 1st March 2018

Teams from Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Thane can participate

We had a wonderful experience during the Nurture A Goal - Football Tournament : YMCA CUP last Saturday. Will be sharing the pictures of the day soon!! Our young ones got a first look of a full fledged football tournament and even got to play on the Turf!! A Big shout out to all who came by & showed us your support..
Big Thanks to Fr. Agnel Sports Complex for showing their love & support by giving us the turf for the day!! You guys just elevated the whole experience!!

We are thankful to Our chief guest Mr. Prasad Menon (CEO of C.I.B.A- Center of Innovation and Business Acceleration) who graced the occasion and also some wise thoughts to the champions of the day & the children, thank you Sir & Thank you Fr. Almeida for your kind gesture helping us with the venue and all the support even before we began this initiative!

And of course a pat on the back of our young footballers & the enthusiastic young YMCA Bombay members who made it all happen! Pictures coming up soon!
