This 7 year old kid from Kolhapur, underwent Living Donor Liver Transplant for PFIC (a type of genetic liver disease). Father donated 20% of his liver to save his son' life. Donor surgery was done in a small midline incision. Recovery was uneventful. Affordable transplant was done by our team at Gleneagles Hospital (previously Global), Parel, Mumbai.

This wonderful lady, unfortunately, suffered from Acute (ayurvedic drug related) on chronic liver disease (autoimmune disease) and was treated aggressively with medical management and plasmapheresis. But medical management failed and she became encephalopathic, with severe jaundice and coagulopathy requiring mechanical ventilation. She was then referred to us for Liver Transplantation. She underwent urgent Living Donor Liver Transplantation by our team at Gleneagles (Global) Hospitals, Parel, Mumbai.
Son was the Liver donor and donated 65% of his liver to save his mother' life.
After a prolonged hospital stay, long icu stay, tracheostomy, multiple infections and many more struggles, she is now doing absolutely fine, one and half months post transplant.
Such miracles inspire us to keep working hard for Liver Transplantation.

2 yr old kid from West Bengal was suffering from Hepatoblastoma (liver cancer in children). They came from West Bengal. She underwent Liver surgery and chemotherapy at Tata hospital, MUMBAI. She had to undergo Living Donor Liver Transplantation for tumor recurrence. Affordable Liver transplantation was done by our team at Gleneagles (Global) hospitals, Parel, Mumbai. Her Daadi was the liver donor.
Now she is doing well and completing the remaining chemotherapy.
We wish her all the best to get back home as early as possible.
