A Collaborative Effort in Onco Nutrition: "From Calories to Cancer Care"

Kim's Hospital Thane and IAPEN Navi Mumbai chapter jointly organized a panel discussion on onco nutrition, which proved to be a resounding success. The event brought together over 100 delegates and 20+ panel members, all of whom shared a common goal: to bridge the gap in cancer care nutrition.

The panel discussion covered a wide range of topics, including malnutrition in cancer patients, sarcopenia, and cachexia. Four major panel discussions delved into specific areas: head and neck cancer, breast and gynecological cancer, GI cancer, and myths buster, pallative nutrition.

The event featured expert speakers who shared the latest evidence, research, and practical guidelines on meeting the nutrition requirements of cancer patients. The multidisciplinary discussion was engaging, informative, and well-appreciated by all attendees.

The collaborative effort highlighted the importance of onco nutrition in cancer care and the need for a multidisciplinary approach to address the complex needs of cancer patients. The event was a significant step towards bridging the gap in cancer care nutrition and we look forward to more such initiatives in the future.

🌿✨ **Workshop Recap: Feel the Gut, Feed the Gut** ✨🌿

Yesterday, we had an incredible day diving deep into the world of gut health at our workshop, "Feel the Gut, Feed the Gut"! 🌱🧠

Our expert speakers captivated us with their talks on pathophysiology of Gut, diagnostic test interpretation and Role of FODMAP DIET in IBS, and exploring the intricate connections between gut health and overall well-being. We discussed the vital role of the gut microbiome in digestive health, immune function, and even mental health. It was fascinating to learn about Gut in so much detail.

One of the highlights was the engaging case studies discussions. Participants examined real-life scenarios, exploring how nutriton can help patients to recover and have positive impact on the health and well being. This interactive segment not only provided practical insights but also fostered a collaborative learning environment.

We are also thrilled to announce the release of the book "*IAPEN India's Nutrition Care Process*"! 📚 by Shivshankar Timmanpyati. This comprehensive guide offers evidence-based strategies and practical tools for implementing effective nutrition care plans. It covers everything from assessment to intervention and monitoring, making it an essential resource for anyone interested in nutrition and health.

The IAPEN India Navi Mumbai chapter had a learn-with-fun-and-frolic event yesterday in association with Nucgnex Lifesciences and Pulse Nutriton.
Our speaker, Ms. Datta Patel, gave an insightful speech to get things started. She shared important information about how fasting affects human physiology and metabolism. The session was quite participatory.

Afterwards, there was a garba session where everyone danced to the beat of the music.

We also held a cooking competition for protein-based fasting, in which contestants showcased delicious, healthful dishes that were high in protein.

We finally congratulate the winners
