Promoting social and economic empowerment of women through cross-cutting policies and programmes, mainstreaming gender concerns, creating awareness about their rights and facilitating institutional and legislative support for enabling them realize their human rights and develop to their full potential. It also ensures development, care and protection of children through cross-cutting policies and programmes, spreading awareness about their rights and facilitating access to learning, nutrition, institutional and legislative support for enabling them to grow and develop to their full potential. Deen Dayal Divyangajan Pension Achoni- this scheme is to provide monthly financial assistance of Rs.1000/--per month to the differently abled person. Scholarship for PWDS- this scheme is to provide monthly Scholarship For PWD students Rs.200/- per month (2,400 in a year) for general studies & Rs. 250 per month (3000 in a year) for pursuing medical and technical education. Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS)- provides Nutritional meals, pre-school education, primary health care, immunization services to children under 6 years of age & their mothers, adolescent girls. SNP- the Supplementary Nutrition Program is provided to children below 6 years of age, pregnant and nursing mothers and adolescent girls of low income group to improve health and nutritional status through take home ration & hot cook meal. POSHAN Abhiyaan- the objective of POSHAN Abhiyaan to reduce stunting in identified Districts of India with the highest malnutrition burden by improving utilization of key Anganwadi Services and improving the quality of Anganwadi Services delivery. Principal goal of the POSHAN Abhiyaan is to improve nutritional status of children(0-6 years), adolescent girls, pregnant & lactating mothers. Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY)- this scheme is to provide financial assistant to the Pregnant & Nursing mothers for the 1st Child. DHEW (Erstwhile MSK)- The DHEW is mandated to provide the required information pertaining to women centric schemes to all citizens(women will be priority) in the concerned district. Identification of issues concerning adolescent and women and coordination with the departments implementing programs for adolescent and women is one of the key areas of DHEW. The DHEW will also be responsible for coordination and convergence of activities with schemes/ programmes of other Ministries/ Departments. Recent achievement:
