💔 “I can’t live like this anymore...”
These were the heartbreaking last words of a second-year dental student.
She died by su***de in her hostel room.
In her note, she named faculty members who had mentally harassed and humiliated her.
📌 She was publicly accused of faking a signature
📌 Mocked for her health condition
📌 Isolated, shamed, broken down emotionally
This wasn’t one bad day.
This was a long battle with silent pain.
A slow mental breakdown no one noticed in time.
⚠️ This is not rare.
As a therapist, I’ve seen this story repeat in different forms—young people pushed to the edge not because they were weak, but because the system was.
🎓 Classrooms are not just academic spaces—they’re emotional ecosystems.
And mental health is NOT a luxury.
It is survival.
🧠 When humiliation is normalized, when empathy is absent, when students are labelled “too sensitive” for breaking down—we fail as a society.
What can we do?
✅ Normalize therapy—not just after a crisis
✅ Train teachers in trauma-informed communication
✅ Equip students with coping tools—not just exam tips
✅ Create institutions that listen before it's too late
📣 To every student: You are not alone.
📣 To every educator: Your words can heal—or destroy. Choose wisely.
We owe it to this girl—and to every silent struggler—to stop turning away.
🧩 Let this not be another tragic headline.
Let this be a wake-up call.
🔖 Read that again. Share it forward. We can’t stay silent anymore.
