Warkari : 'The one who performs the Wari' is a sampradaya within the bhakti spiritual tradition geographically associated with the state of Maharashtra. Warkaris worship Vitthal the presiding deity of Pandharpur, a form of Vishnu. Saints and gurus of the bhakti movement associated with the Warkaris include Dnyaneshwar, Namdev, Tukaram etc.These warkaris accompany the chariot carrying the padukas of saint tukaram and dnyaneshwar from their respective abodes Dehu and Alandi situated near pune to Pandharpur for the ekadashi in the month of ashadh .They travel miles n miles on foot with minimal supplues of food n water.

This year too was blessed to serve these punyatmans.
