Cutlet is one the popular snack for any parties in India. Ground Oats and cooked moong dal are bind together with spices, curd, grated carrot, coriander leaves and then shaped like cutlet and shallow fried to get crispy and tasty Oats Moong Dal Tikki. Relish this deliciousTikki with ketchup of Green Chutney!

INSTRUCTIONS Wash and Soak the moong dal in water for 30 minutes. Pressure cook the dal by adding 1/2 cup of water and then coarsely mash the dal and keep it readyWash and peel the carrot and grate it. Chop the onions finely and keep it ready. Take a pan and add oats to it. Dry roast the oats till we get a nice aroma and the oats turn slightly brown color. Remove the roasted oats and allow it to cool off Grind it in a mixer to a nice powder and take 1 tablespoon of ground oats powder aside for coating tikkis. Take a mixing bowl add mashed dal, remaining oats powder, grated carrot and onion. Also add garam masala, red chilli powder, salt and chopped coriander. Mix all the ingredients and finally add curd and mix well and make it like a dough Take lemon size ball out of the dough and make small tikki. Coat each tikki with oats powder. Heat a flat bottomed pan or tawa and grease it with oil. Add 4-5 coated oats tikkis and apply little oil and keep the flame low and allow the tikkis to fry evenly. Except of moong dal, rest of ingredients are raw and hence we need to cook them in low flame. Flip the cooked tikkis to cook on other side. The nutrient composition of oats is well-balanced. They are a good source of carbs and fiber, including the powerful fiber.
They are also a good source of high quality protein, with a good balance of essential amino Acids.
Whole oats are high in antioxidants and beneficial plant compounds called polyphenols. Most notable is a unique group of antioxidants called avenanthramides, which are almost solely found in oats.
Oats contain large amounts of beta-glucan, a type of soluble fiber. Beta-glucan partially dissolves in water and forms a thick, gel-like solution in your gut.
The health benefits of beta-glucan fiber include:
• reduced LDL and total cholesterol levels
• reduced blood sugar and insulin response

Eating at night is often associated with eating more calorie dense food, snacking, poorer food choices, exceeding your calorie needs, and mindless eating.

To lose weight try distributing calories throughout the day, so you're not starving in the evening and end up overeating. And it is better to eat 2-3 hours before going to bed so that the body gets sufficient time to digest the food and burn calories naturally.
