Pray for My Child "Arnav" - Fight with Aplastic Anemia This case is related to my Son Arnav, born on 2nd April, 2012. Everything was going nice and his weight gain after birth was also excellent. We were shocked.

My son Arnav was diagnosed with aplastic anemia on may 2013 when he was just 1 year old , he had match unrelated donor bone marrow transplant on 2 nd of July in 2014, after that he is completely cured... He was almost 11kg, till May, 2013. In May, 2013 he got cold and fever and our child doctor suggest us for a blood test because he was looking little anaemic. We used to give fresh fruit and veget

ables. Anyway we thought there may be iron deficiency Anaemia. On 20th May we saw the blood test result. Count was like this, Hb-5.6, WBC-10000 and Platelet-110000.Our Doctor suggested us to consult paediatric haematology and accordingly we consulted the same. Bone marrow aspiration and biopsy was done on 21st may 2013 and after one week they told me bone marrow is not working. They finally confirmed that this is one type of disorder called “Aplastic Anemia”. We consulted many different Doctors and in fact they have done total three Biopsy to conclude this is Aplastic Anemia. The main confusion in son my case is that although Hb and Platelet is low but WBC count is always more than 6000. Lowest WBC count is 4500 and maximum count is 10700. Since last nine month WBC count is varies between 4500 to 10700. There is no any sibling donor and his condition is in Moderate Aplastic Anemia category. Since it is moderate condition, our doctor advised us to first search them suitable donor. If donor will be available then they will prefer transplant otherwise ATG and after that haplo transplant.Our wish form God is that let it be remain in moderate category so that we can wait more months to see any possibility of automatic recovery. Anyway, my main concern to join this group is that my son need many friends across the world because he is going to start very brave and tough journey. More blessing gives quick recovery and strength to us. Kindly give us strength.

Hello, everyone Arnav is in grade 4, doing great but after heavy medication he regressed in autism I am working hard for his progress from last five years... Now he improve alot but still he is on spectrum.... I saw many other parents whose children regressed and slip into autism after having transplant... Ppl Harding want to share this side of journey but I am sharing coz my son recovering from Autism slowly but surely plz open up about your journey after transplant also it's a life time journey... And their is lots of way through which u can heal your child in post transplant...
