From Challenge to Confidence – A Story of Hope and Healing!
At the Therapeutic Service and Rehabilitation Centre, Sundargarh, operated by VikashorgVikash, every recovery journey reflects courage, commitment, and care
The featured beneficiary was diagnosed with Left Hemiparesis following a stroke in 2010, which significantly affected his movement and functional independence. On arrival at the centre, he experienced marked weakness and difficulty in performing daily activities.
Through structured, activity-based rehabilitation, under the coordinated support of the therapy team including both Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy interventions, a comprehensive recovery plan was implemented focusing on improving upper limb strength, balance, coordination, and motor control.
The pre-therapy photograph depicts his limited mobility at the beginning of intervention.
The post-therapy photograph demonstrates his substantial improvement — with enhanced muscle control, postural balance, and greater confidence in performing exercises independently.
This transformation stands as a testament to the effectiveness of sustained therapy, teamwork, and the beneficiary’s own determination.
