In Ayurveda, the eyes (Netra) are considered one of the most delicate and important sense organs. Good vision depends on the balance of Tridosha (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) and the nourishment of Alochaka Pitta (a subtype of Pitta that governs vision). Disturbance in lifestyle, diet, excessive screen use, and ageing can weaken eye health.

Here’s an overview of Eye Treatment in Ayurveda:

🔹 Common Eye Issues in Ayurveda

Dryness, irritation, burning sensation

Redness, watering

Eye strain from excess screen time (Netra Asrambha)

Conjunctivitis (Abhishyanda)

Night blindness (Nakta Andhya)

🔹 Ayurvedic Treatments

1. Netratarpana (Netra Basti / Akshi Tarpana)
