Today, 23/07/2025, an unfortunate and deeply disturbing incident occurred within the premises of Nazareth Hospital, severely affecting the sanctity and peaceful functioning of our institution.
An attendant, who identified himself as an advocate practicing in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and was present in relation to the treatment of his respected father, exhibited highly inappropriate and aggressive behavior. He forcefully demanded exemption from paying his father’s medical treatment charges and used disrespectful and abusive language against the hospital administration and staff.
Despite repeated attempts by the staff to de-escalate the situation, the individual proceeded to make threatening remarks, stating his influence and intent to misuse legal authority. He contacted colleagues from the Hon’ble High Court of Allahabad, who soon arrived at the hospital and collectively created a scene that disrupted patient care and violated the hospital's atmosphere of dignity and care.
Of particular concern, the individual publicly targeted certain staff members based on their religion, using derogatory and discriminatory language, and threatened to implicate them in legal cases without any basis. These remarks were communal in nature, deeply offensive, and completely unacceptable in any civil society, let alone in a place of healing and compassion like a hospital.
Nazareth Hospital strongly condemns this behavior, which is not only unlawful and unethical but also endangers the emotional and physical well-being of both staff and patients. We reserve the right to initiate appropriate legal and administrative action to ensure such incidents do not recur.
