Many men worry when their semen analysis shows a “low count,” but most do not know what the numbers actually mean. A proper semen test must be reported by a trained embryologist or an IVF-unit professional following the latest WHO 6th edition guidelines.
According to these standards, a normal count requires at least 16 million s***m per ml, and healthy motility must be above 32%. Morphology (normal forms) should be 4% or more.
Anything below these values is considered a low count and may affect fertility.
Understanding your semen report correctly is the first step toward proper treatment. With accurate testing and timely medical guidance, most fertility issues can be managed effectively.
