Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Akurdi, Pune successfully organized an insightful guest session on “Roadmap to Study Abroad: Exams, Admissions and Scholarships.” The session was delivered by Komal Shirke, Assistant Manager at Edualliance Educational Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Pune. She provided valuable guidance to students about international education opportunities, important competitive examinations such as the nternational English Language Testing System (IELTS), Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), explaining their importance for admission to foreign universities. She also discussed strategies for exam preparation, selecting the right country and university, admission procedures, visa processes, and scholarship opportunities available for international students. Students actively participated in the session and gained practical insights into planning their higher studies abroad. The session proved highly informative and motivating for students aspiring to pursue global academic opportunities. The program was coordinated by Competition Examination Incharge Dr. Pavankumar Wankhade and Ms. Pallavi Gholap.

**Online Guest Session on GPAT Entrance Preparation**

Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, Akurdi, successfully organized an **online guest session** on **“GPAT 2026 Exam Day Strategy and Stress Management”** on **1 March 2026**.

The session was delivered by **Mr. Satyam Rathod**, an alumnus of the B.Pharm (2024–25) batch and **GPAT AIR 197 qualified**, who is currently pursuing his M.Pharm at ICT Mumbai. He shared valuable insights on revision strategies for the GPAT examination, tips to avoid negative marking, the effective use of the elimination method, and important points to focus on during the last week of preparation. He also discussed his personal exam-day experience, highlighting what to do and what to avoid, and emphasized the importance of staying calm and confident during the examination.

The session was coordinated by **Dr. Pavankumar Wankhade** (Competitive Exam Coordinator) and **Ms. Pallavi Gholap**.

The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, leaving them motivated and better equipped to pursue their GPAT aspirations.

सदा तळपत राहो माय मराठी अक्षर!
२७ फेब्रुवारी मराठी भाषा गौरव दिन आणि कवी श्रेष्ठ कुसुमाग्रज जयंती याचे औचित्य. कुसुमाग्रज म्हणजे वि. वा. शिरवाडकर यांनी मराठीला खूप मोलाचे योगदान दिले आहे. त्यांचा जन्मदिवस हा मराठी भाषा गौरव दिन म्हणून मोठ्या दिमाखात साजरा केला जातो. मराठीला गेल्याच वर्षी अभिजात भाषेचा दर्जा मिळाला. अभिजात म्हणजे प्राचीन, आणि याच प्राचीनतेची साक्ष देत डॉ. डी. वाय. पाटील कॉलेज ऑफ फार्मसी, आकुर्डी, पुणे येथे मराठी भाषा दिन मोठ्या उत्साहात साजरा झाला. सदर कार्यक्रमातून विद्यार्थ्यांना मातृभाषेचे महत्त्व तर समजलेच, पण त्याचबरोबर मराठीतील विविध साहित्य प्रकारांचा आस्वाद घेता आला. मराठी जगता आली पाहिजे हा यामागचा हेतू होता. इंग्रजी काळाची गरज म्हणून शिकावी, कारण जगाशी जोडणे ती. पण मातीशी नाळ घट्ट जोडणे ती माय मराठी अभिमानाने मिराशी. कारण मराठी मदर, फादर चाललीय गुंडाळून ठेवायला नाही तर, आईला डोक्यावर पदर द्यायला आणि वडिलांच्या कष्टाची कदर करायला शिकवते. मराठी जर टिकवायची असेल तर दगडी शाळांतील घंटा सदैव खणाणत ठेवायला हवी. तरच मराठी टिकेल, येणाऱ्या पिढ्यांत रूजेल, फुलेल आणि जगेल. याचसाठी हा दिवस उत्साहात साजरा करण्यात आला.
