At Niya, we believe that sometimes healing begins with just one safe conversation.

When someone truly listens, the weight feels lighter. Sharing your story doesn’t make you a burden; it makes you human.

At Niya, we are honoured to introduce Swaruti Tamang - Counselling Psychologist
specializing in Presence Oriented Psychotherapy.

She is a psychologist, skilled psychotherapist, and experienced mindfulness practitioner who creates safe, heart-centered spaces for healing, reflection, and growth.

Her work is rooted in the belief that each person holds an inherent capacity to heal, cope, and grow and that therapy is a space where we can gently reconnect with that inner strength.

At Niya, we believe that sometimes the quietest acts of care can often be the most powerful.🌿

Taking a pause, breathing, or choosing rest doesn’t make you weak; it makes you human. ✨

At Niya, we believe youth are not just the future, they are the present.
In a world that pushes the youth to know it all, be productive, and chase big goals, it’s easy to forget that slowing down and exploring is okay 🌿.

This International Youth Day, we celebrate the courage to explore, to grow at your own pace , and to honour a journey still unfolding ✨.
Your path is valid, no matter how gentle, messy, or unique it may be .

At Niya, we understand how sometimes the smallest decisions feel like the heaviest ones.
What to eat. What to wear. Where to start.

Decision fatigue is a state of mental exhaustion, that occurs when the brain is overworked from making a large number of decisions over a period of time.

It does not mean that you are broken or feeling. Simply remind tired.

Slowdown. Pause.
Take one step at a time.

At Niya Mental Health Initiative, we asked our psychologist, Vidhi:
“What’s your go-to self-care ritual when things get tough?”

She reminded us.
Self-care isn’t about doing it perfectly.
It’s about checking in with what you need, in that moment.

Sometimes it’s colouring.
Sometimes, a quiet conversation.
Sometimes, just watching a movie and letting your body rest.

For her, self-care is listening to yourself,
before it gets too loud inside.

Some friendships are quiet lifelines - the ones that sit with you in silence, celebrate your soft wins, and remind you you're not alone 🤍

Hold onto them.
Nurture them.

Tag a loved one, that stayed with you through it all!

At Niya Mental Health Initiative, we’ve heard this often

You’re doing well on paper, but inside, something still feels off

A quiet voice that asks
“Do I even belong here”

That’s the thing about impostor syndrome
It’s not rare
It’s just rarely spoken about gently

If you've ever questioned your worth, even in moments of success
You’re not alone

Tag a friend who’s been doing more than they realise. Let’s make space for this too 🌸

At Niya, we believe that taking care of yourself isn’t a luxury - it’s a necessity.

And it may not be elaborate.
It can be something as simple as:
🌿 A stroll in nature
💬 A warm conversation
📖 Reading your favourite book
🧴 Caring for your skin
🥘 Cooking a meal that feels like home

Start gentle. Start small.
Start with what helps you feel like you.

At Niya, we hold a space for your story - and the support you deserve. Whether it’s through a listening ear, a safe environment or the care that meets you, where you are - we are here to walk alongside you.

Not everything that helps us heal looks like therapy.

Sometimes it’s the friend who listens without fixing.

The message that says “I’m here for you.”
Or simply the quiet presence of someone who understands it.

These are social buffers - the unseen support systems that cushion us through the hard days. They remind us:
You don’t have to carry it all alone.

At Niya, we hold space for your story - and the support you deserve.

What has been your buffer lately ?
A person, a pause , a practice ?

At Niya, we believe mental health at work isn’t just about productivity. It’s about presence.

Distress doesn’t always look loud.
Sometimes, it shows up in quiet ways, through silence, shutdowns, or just pushing through.

Real care doesn’t wait for crisis.
It listens earlier.
It notices gently.
It shows up consistently.

And that’s the kind of care we hope more workplaces begin to build.

At Niya, we understand how easy it is to start with a search.

One feeling. One pattern. And suddenly you wonder, is this something I’m going through?

Online spaces can offer information.
But understanding asks for something slower. Something that holds your story, not just your symptoms.

This reel is a reminder🎗️
You don’t have to figure it all out alone.

If you’re looking for a space where you can pause, reflect, and be met, we’re here.
