"Enter this joy and become one with it -- any joy, any happiness. This is just an example: "On joyously seeing a long absent friend..." Suddenly you see a friend you have not seen for many, many days or many, many years. A sudden joy grips you. But your attention will be on the friend, not on your joy. Then you are missing something, and this joy will be momentary. Your attention is focused on the friend: you will start talking, remembering things, and you will miss this joy and this joy will go.

"When you see a friend and suddenly feel a joy arising in your heart, concentrate on this joy. Feel it and become it, and meet the friend while being aware and filled with your joy.

Why maroon robes? It's a question many first-time visitors ask.

At the OSHO International Meditation Resort in Pune, India, maroon robes are worn during the day and for all meditations. They create a unifying atmosphere — a soft, silent agreement that says: we are all here for the same reason. Going inward.

The color maroon, worn by many people meditating together, adds to the collective meditative energy. Something powerful happens when individual attention dissolves into a shared field. And there's a practical bonus too — no tricky early-morning color-coordination dilemmas. One robe, ready to go.

Loose robes are wonderfully comfortable in this tropical climate and ideal for meditation. No tight belts, no restrictive clothing — just freedom to move, breathe, and dive deep.

Plain maroon robes are worn for all daytime activities from 9 AM to 4 PM and during OSHO Dynamic and OSHO Kundalini Meditations. For the Evening Meeting, plain white robes are worn — a soft shift that signals: now we celebrate.
