Condemnation of Unwarranted Suspensions and Show Cause Notices by Principal, Medical College Rajouri

The United Doctors Front Association (UDF) strongly condemns the recent actions taken by the Principal of Medical College Rajouri, wherein five doctors were suspended and two consultants were issued show cause notices without a proper inquiry or due process. These actions are a direct violation of administrative protocols and the principles of fairness that govern the medical profession.
It is important to emphasize that the authority to suspend doctors and take disciplinary actions lies solely with the Administrative Secretary of Health, and not with the Principal of any medical institution. The Medical College Principal does not hold the jurisdiction or power to suspend medical professionals, as per the established guidelines and government protocols. Such actions, taken unilaterally and without due investigation, undermine the rule of law and the sanctity of the administrative process.
The UDF stands firm in asserting that no medical professional should be penalized or suspended without a thorough, fair, and transparent inquiry. Arbitrary suspension and show cause notices not only harm the careers of these dedicated doctors and consultants but also disrupt the functioning of the healthcare services in the region. It is essential for healthcare professionals to be provided with a platform for defense, ensuring that justice is served before any punitive measures are taken.
We demand the following immediate actions:
Immediate Revocation of Suspensions: The unjust suspension of the five doctors should be immediately revoked, and these individuals must be reinstated pending a proper inquiry.
Compliance with Established Protocols: The Principal of Medical College Rajouri must adhere to the procedures outlined by the Administrative Secretary of Health. All disciplinary actions must follow the established framework, with a clear, transparent investigation into the matter.
Independent and Transparent Inquiry: We call for an independent inquiry into the circumstances leading to the suspensions and show cause notices. This inquiry must be conducted by the appropriate authorities, free from any bias or influence.
Restoration of Professional Dignity: The dignity, rights, and professional standing of the doctors and consultants involved must be safeguarded. Medical professionals should not be subjected to unjust treatment that tarnishes their careers and their standing in the healthcare community.
The United Doctors Front Association (UDF) stands united in support of the affected medical professionals and demands that immediate corrective action be taken. We urge the concerned authorities, including the Administrative Secretary of Health, to intervene and restore order, transparency, and justice in this matter.
We also request that the Principal of Medical College Rajouri be held accountable for overstepping the bounds of their authority, as the actions taken have caused significant distress within the medical community and to the public healthcare system.
We remain committed to ensuring that the rights and dignity of medical professionals are upheld and that our healthcare system operates with integrity and fairness.
