I am Siddhi Mirani, a breast cancer survivor. I have an academic background in law, but my true calling is social work, and I have done everything in my power to support other cancer survivors. Along with a few other NGOs, I collaborate with the Greeva Foundation & Gupt daan. I discovered a cyst in my left breast, which marked the beginning of my cancer challenge. I saw a doctor who was successful in misleading me into thinking it was only a water lump brought on by hormone changes. After 10 months of using homeopathy and naturopathy, I finally realized that the cyst had only been growing bigger. I can never adequately describe the difficulties I had after that day. Indeed, words are not enough to express the pain
Indeed, words cannot adequately describe my experiences, but it is precisely these struggles that have shaped who I am. When I see another cancer patients, the same pain and hurt that I experienced so intensely rise to the surface and surge through my bones and blood. I am motivated to assist those who are experiencing the same hurt by the same suffering. I'm motivated to assist them to get out of it because I can see the hurt in their eyes.
Later when I won the battle against cancer I realised that I wanted to spread awareness regarding cancer it had become a common disease yet there was no awareness for it and I wanted to take a step towards cancer awareness and that led me to start a foundation (Siddhi foundation the source of strength) (Members are as follows:- Divya Nagadiya, Arti Shrivastav, Manish sahita, Archana Das)to work for said awareness.
Today, as a survivor, I see life differently. I cherish every moment, celebrate small victories, and live with gratitude. Cancer tried to break me, but instead, it made me stronger, more compassionate, and more determined to spread awareness.
If my story inspires even one woman to schedule a check-up, then sharing it was worth it. Breast cancer is not a death sentence—early detection saves lives, treatment works, and there is always hope.
So, to every woman reading this: take care of yourself, prioritize your health, and never ignore the signs. You are stronger than you think, and your life is worth fighting for.
Together, we can spread awareness, save lives, and ensure that no one fights alone.
