We are really excited to inform you that we are going to start CANS classes soon for this session. This is the new beginning and we hope that you will show your participation with full zeal and excitement.
This session will involve workshops, coding contests, open-source contribution and a lot of learning.

Students of NIT Uttarakhand , require your support in order to draw the attention of government and the nation towards our miserable condition. We the students of National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand are on indefinite strike started from 4th of October 2018. The reason for our strike is the "terrible condition in which we live and what it leads to". On October 3, 2018, two students Nupur Munda and Neelam Meena were walking there a way to the labs(our campus is bifurcated in two parts, the students tried on NH-58 amidst speeding vehicles to commute between labs and classes). And were rammed by a speeding vehicle over the pavement. Lost consciousness, blood was all over. And just because we predicted this does not make this any easier for us to accept. Is this how it was supposed to go down? Is it mundane to students to be run over by speeding vehicles? Our careers and lives are being played around with! At the expense of local politics who are adherent at keeping us here for the "development" of this suburb. Neelam has been admitted at AIIMS Rishikesh. She had to be referred because of the inability of these suburban hospitals to deal with the situation. We here are devoid of exposure, medical facilities and what not. Dodging vehicles during daily commute has become a household chore. Afraid for our lives and that of others and not wanting to walk on national highways for attending lectures students have unanimously decided to go on an indefinite strike. Though the hope of getting a campus seems to be fading into oblivion here we are simmering in the sun indefinitely. Kindly, help us by raising our voice further.
