Today,Kinner Maa Welfare Trust, under the leadership of Ms. Joya Tripathy, proudly organized the LGBTQIA+ Empowerment Rourkela Pride Parade. 🌈 The parade commenced from Amar Bhawan Chowk (Railway Station) and concluded at Ambedkar Chowk (Uditnagar),starting at 12:00 PM.
This Pride Parade stood as a bold voice for equality, dignity, and human rights ✊❤️. Members from all communities of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum came together in unity and pride, reminding society that they are equal in every way equal in humanity, talent, emotions, responsibilities, and contributions to the nation. Sexual orientation or gender identity does not define a person’s worth; respect and dignity are fundamental rights for all.
The parade was a powerful stand against discrimination and stigma, and at the same time a joyful celebration of love, identity, and freedom of expression 🎶💃🕺. With colorful flags, music, dance, smiling faces, and slogans of hope, the streets of Rourkela were filled with positivity and happiness.
Everyone proudly carried the message “Wear Your Own Pride”, symbolizing the courage to live authentically, embrace one’s true identity, and stand tall without fear or shame 🌟. Pride is not just worn it is lived, felt, and celebrated.
The celebration also included cake cutting 🎂🎉, spreading sweetness, togetherness, and joy among the community, making the event even more memorable and heart warming.
Beyond celebration, the parade aimed to create awareness, inspire acceptance, and reinforce the message that every individual deserves visibility, safety, equal opportunities, and a life free from fear or prejudice.
Rourkela witnessed a historic moment of solidarity, courage, and joy marching together towards a future where diversity is not only accepted but celebrated with pride 🌈✨
