थैलेसीमिया एक आनुवांशिक रक्त विकार है, जहां से पीड़ित बच्चों में लाल रक्त कोशिकाओं के प्रारंभिक विनाश के कारण कम हीमोग्लोबिन है।

यह विरासत में मिली बीमारी में विकास, खराब विकास, शील, शारीरिक विकास की कमी और लगातार संक्रमण की आवश्यकता होती है

संक्रमण के कारण इन बच्चों में लंबे समय तक समस्याएं पैदा होती हैं।

इस बीमारी के लिए संभावित संभावित अस्थि मज्जा या स्टेम सेल प्रत्यारोपण है।

साईएम्स में हमारे पास एक समर्पित क्लिनिक है जो ऐसे बच्चों को समग्र देखभाल प्रदान करता है जो उन्हें ब्याज दरों पर रक्तस्राव जैसी सुविधा प्रदान करता है और चमेली आदि के बारे में उपचार सलाह देता है।

हम ऐसे रोगियों के लिए प्रत्यारोपण / इलाज के लिए एक विकल्प प्रदान करने के लिए साईएम्स के प्रत्यारोपण विभाग के साथ हाथ मिलाते हैं।

7 मई (विश्व थैलेसेमिया दिवस की पूर्व संध्या) पर इंटरैक्टिव चर्चा के माध्यम से यह इस रोग, उसकी देखभाल और इसके संभावित इलाज के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाने के लिए हमारी विनम्र प्रयास होगी !!!

Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder where the children suffering from it have low hemoglobin due to early destruction of their red cells.

This inherited disease has symptoms like poor growth , paleness, lack of physical development, and require frequent transfusions

Transfusion also cause problems in these children in the long run.

The only potential cure for this disease is bone marrow or stem cell transplant.

At SAIMS we have a dedicated clinic providing holistic care to such children providing them with facilities like transfusion at nominal rates and treatment advice regarding chelation etc.

We have joined hands with the transplant department of SAIMS to provide an option for transplant /cure for such patients.

Through the interactive discussion on the 7th may (Eve of world Thalassemia day) it will be our humble effort to spread the awareness regarding this disease, its care and its potential cure!!!
