Featured in Patriot Delhi | Sarcoma Awareness Month

This Sarcoma Awareness Month, I had the opportunity to share my thoughts with Patriot Delhi on a growing concern that often stays below the radar — Delhi’s silent sarcoma crisis.

🦠 Sarcomas are rare but aggressive cancers, and I’ve seen far too many patients come in late simply because early signs are mistaken for benign swellings or injuries.

The lack of awareness, even in urban areas, is deeply worrying.

It’s mentioned in the article, and I’ll repeat it here:
👉 “Most people confuse sarcoma with other common swellings — delaying treatment at critical stages.”

If detected early, sarcoma can be treated effectively. But we must break the silence around it. Raising awareness, encouraging timely consultation, and not brushing off unexplained lumps can save lives.

Let’s not wait for symptoms to become serious. As doctors, families, and individuals — we all have a role to play.

If you or someone you know has persistent swelling, pain, or a lump that doesn’t go away — don’t ignore it.

Timely diagnosis can make the difference between cure and complication.

Let’s keep the conversation going!!

Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a healthier future.

I had the honour of delivering a Health Talk on “Basic Cancer Awareness” at Fortis Hospital, Manesar, in collaboration with Rico Auto Industries on 16th July 2025.

We discussed the importance of early detection, common signs and symptoms, and the role of lifestyle in cancer prevention. The energy, curiosity, and engagement from the participants were truly inspiring.

Initiatives like these are vital in building an informed and health-aware community. A heartfelt thank you to the teams at Fortis Hospital, Manesar and Rico Auto for making this impactful event possible.

Let’s continue to raise awareness, promote prevention, and empower lives through timely knowledge.

Prostate cancer is now one of the most common cancers in men, especially after the age of 50.

The most worrying part? It often grows silently, without major symptoms in early stages. Many men don’t know they have it until it has already progressed.

That’s why early detection is critical — and this video walks you through exactly how prostate cancer is diagnosed.

✅ PSA blood test
✅ Digital re**al exam (DRE)
✅ MRI and biopsy (if needed)

Understand when to get screened, how often, and who’s at risk — especially if you have a family history or urinary symptoms.

Don’t let silence be the reason for delay. Awareness = prevention = longer life.

Can chemotherapy be avoided in breast cancer treatment?

Yes, in some cases it can.

Early detection, hormonal therapies, targeted treatments, and immunotherapy have changed the way breast cancer is treated today.

Not every patient needs chemo — it depends on tumor type, stage, and individual health factors.

The key is personalized care guided by expert oncologists.

Your treatment should fit you, not the other way around.
