Geriatric Medical & Awareness Camp at Tehsil Office Chitragam, Shopian

On the directions of the District Administration and DNO AYUSH, Dr. Javid Ahmad Wani, a Geriatric Medical and Awareness Camp was organized by the Department of AYUSH, Shopian at the Tehsil Office, Chitragam.

The camp was conducted by the following team of doctors and staff:

4. Dr. Mohd Amin

5. Faizan Farooq

6. Faizan Shafi

7. Ulfat Jan

8. Sanjeeda

9. Abdul Hakeem Shah

The event was held in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, Chitragam.
During the camp, awareness sessions were held on geriatric health issues, free medicines were distributed, and screening was conducted for senior citizens of the area.

Training Program for ASHAs Held at Ayush Office Shopian

Today, the AYUSH Sector Shopian organized a training program for ASHA workers at the District Ayush Office, Shopian. During the session, Dr. Malik Mushtaq provided detailed training on various health-related issues, emphasizing preventive care, awareness, and community health promotion.

The program aimed to strengthen the knowledge and skills of ASHAs to better serve their communities through improved health education and service delivery

On 28/10/2025.As per the directions of the District Administration and District Nodal Officer AYUSH Shopian, an awareness session on “Balanced Diet and Healthy Lifestyle” was conducted at Government High School Reshinagri, Shopian in collaboration with AHWC Sedow.
The programme was led by Medical Officer Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Malik and Head Pharmacist Saleem Altaf, along with MPW Abid Nazir. A Yoga Session was also conducted by Yoga Instructor Waseem Gulzar, focusing on the importance of physical fitness and mental well-being.
A total of 50 students participated in the programme and were sensitized about the importance of a balanced diet, personal hygiene, regular exercise, and yoga for maintaining good health.

As per the directions of the District Administration and DNO Ayush Shopian, an awareness programme was conducted on 25/10/2025 at Sunrise Public Middle School, Sedow Shopian.

The programme was organized by Medical Officer Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad, Senior Pharmacist Saleem Altaf, and Attendant Shafqat Gulzar.

During the session, awareness was given to the students regarding the importance of a balanced diet, good hygiene, and a healthy lifestyle. Students were advised to:

Eat a balanced and nutritious diet

Maintain proper personal hygiene

Engage in regular exercise

Ensure adequate sleep

Drink safe and clean water

Follow proper sanitation practices

The programme was informative and beneficial for the students, helping to promote healthy habits and overall well-being.

As per the directions of DNO Shopian Dr Javid Ahmad wani a school health check up camp was organized by AHWC trenz in collaboration with AHWC Khurampora at UPS Kansoo Shopian under Rashtriya Poshan maah programme under the Theme Obesity.
During the programme Pregnant ladies; Adolescent girls and Children were given awareness regarding balanced diet, Health and Hygiene.
During check up medicines were given to the patients.

On 14/10/2025 As per the guidelines of the District Administration and under the supervision of the District Nodal Officer AYUSH Shopian, Dr. Javid Ahmad Wani, a Rashtriya Poshan Maah programme was conducted at Anganwadi Centre Reshinagri, Shopian by Medical Officer AHWC Reshinagri, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Malik, along with MPW Abid Nazir.

During the programme, pregnant women, adolescent girls, and children participated actively. Awareness regarding nutrition and balanced diet was provided, and nutritional support was distributed among the participants.

A total of 20 beneficiaries attended the programme, which included 10 adolescent girls, 8 pregnant women, and 02 children.

An awareness/screening camp was organized today on 08.10.2025 by AAM Chitragam & AAM Dachoo at Govt.High School Chitragam under the banner "Poshan Maah"where 22 students were given awareness regarding healthy diet & its benefits.
Also screening for Anaemia was done.

AYUSH Unit DH Shopian, in collaboration with AWHC Wachi, AWHC Keegam, AWHC Reshnagri, AWHC Sedow, and AYUSH Dispensary Reban, successfully conducted specialized OPD services for female patients.

Today, on *18/09/2025,* under the *Swasth Nari Sasakht Parivar Abhiyaan programme* , an awareness and screening camp was organized at village Reshinagri,Keegam awachi Trenz And Kaprin Shopian. The programme was led by Medical Officers, AHWC Reshnagri, *Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Malik,* Ahwc Trenz Dr Manoor Ahmad Ahwc Keegam Dr Shamim Azad Ahwc Kaprin Dr Gh Jeelani And Ahwc Wach Dr shafiq Ahmad Shah along with MPW . During the camp, NCD screening was conducted for diabetes and hypertension. Awareness was also imparted to the participants regarding the importance of reducing sugar and salt intake, as well as minimizing the consumption of oily foods to maintain good health.
