She travelled the world chasing stories.
Only to realise the one she wanted to tell was her own.

Back in the Northeast, not as a stop, but as a decision.

This is Mithu. Blooming where she belongs.

This part of the experience took us closer to the source. The team spent a day moving through the gardens, watching how things unfold when you slow down enough to notice them.

We started by walking through the plots, stopping where tea flowers were in bloom and where leaves were being plucked. Time was spent understanding what happens after the pluck, how the leaf is handled, why that moment matters, and how small decisions there shape what comes later. Conversations with our organic tea farmers stayed with us, especially around care, timing, and restraint.

As the day went on, the garden opened up in quieter ways. Women from the tea tribe community moving through familiar routines. A shy child watching us from a distance. Cow dung spread out to dry under the sun. Ducks resting and roaming freely between the rows.

We noticed the shade trees too, the ones that protect the plants, their bark releasing a sticky, resin-like flow. And by evening, winter light settling over gardens where new buds were already coming in.

Nothing here was arranged for us.
Just observations from a day spent in and around the tea gardens, noticing the people, processes, and small details that exist around the leaf, long before it becomes tea.

Mur ghor kot?
Not the place left behind, the place chosen.

Meet Sukanya, a dentist and a writer who knows growth doesn’t always mean distance. Some bloom away. Some bloom at home. Both are valid.

A bhet phool thrives where it belongs.
So do people.

This is Sukanya, blooming exactly where she chose to.

A republic is not just written into law, it is lived every day. In how we choose to be responsible to the land and to each other.

Happy Republic Day from team Woolah :)

Some people find home in places untouched.
For Salma, it was always nature.

A wildlife biologist and documentary filmmaker, she tells stories rooted in the quiet bond between people and the wild.

There were moments of doubt, when continuing felt uncertain. But every return to nature reminded her why she began, and why these stories needed to be told.

Building the world’s first bagless tea brand didn’t start in a boardroom. It started here, with land that gives, hands that craft, and a future we believe in.
