🌱 Sowing the Seeds of Clear Vision 🌱
Siliguri Greater Lions Eye Hospital marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of upgraded hospital facilities, the launch of a Dedicated Dry Eye Clinic, and the unveiling of Vision 2030—a long-term roadmap focused on expanding capacity, strengthening technology, and ensuring quality eye care for all.
Inaugurated by Lion A. P. Singh, International President, the expansion reflects SGLEH’s continued commitment to service, sustainability, and community-driven healthcare.
Today, SGLEH operates 3 hospitals and 60 vision centres, serving over 4 lakh patients annually and performing nearly 40,000 eye surgeries each year, making it the largest eye care network in North Bengal.
Through Vision 2030, the hospital plans to expand Unit 2, increase bed capacity, add new modular operation theatres, scale up surgical volumes, and strengthen digital eye care through tele-ophthalmology—continuing its mission of accessible eye care across North Bengal and beyond.
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with special focus on SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals, the initiative underscores the importance of collaboration. The presence of valued partners at the event reinforced the shared commitment to creating long-term, inclusive healthcare impact.
