Another fraud . NABH accreditation. Enforce since 2005 , the NABH standards are virtual cut copy paste job of JCI Standards. Hospitals are mandated to be NABH accredidated if they hope to get CGHS empanelmenet. And, in spirit of cut copy pasting that we Indians are so fond of , so do ECHS , State Govt panels insist on NABH.
Meeting NABH Standards essentially means you need to have manpower , material and Infrastructure comminsurate with standards hospitals of US and Europe . Means a 50 bedded private hospital in Jhajjhar would have to meet same set of standards as that of a Max Hospital in Delhi or a Apollo Hospital in Chennai.
And for what? So that it can apply for CGHS and ECHS panels whose payout are stuck at rates of 2015!!!!! Oh yes, the CGHS rate list for compensation to hoapitals for medicine and surgeries has remained frozen in time ...at level of 2015 . In other words , a hospital is expected to provide you state of art treatment in 2024 at rates which are a decade old!!!
In other words , Govt has mandated that private hospitals need to provide healthcare services at high standards of John Hopkins Hospital , New York and get compensated at rates poorer than Rwanda .
In itself ,none of the Govt hospitals including the much vaunted AIIMS , meet standards of NABH ...and yet it is mandatory for a measly 100 bedded private facility in Bankura to obtain those standards!!!
The aforesaid mentioned teeny weeny standalone hospital is expected to deliver NABH Standard 6.0 ( which in themselves are nothing but blind cut copy paste job of the Joint Commission International Edition 7th standards . A blind cut copy paste carried ouy by a typical sub human IQ Babu sitting in some non descript office of the QCI.
The aforesaid mentioned Doctor Babu , totally.divest from realities on ground and a mind frozen by a overactive AC , has no clue or idea of how a standalone hospital in Tier 2 city can manage to get to NABH Standards which is exactly same as those required from mutli hospital chain of corporate hospitals like Apollo , Max and Fortis .
Limited financial resources of a standalone facility in Tier 2 city VS financial behemoth of multi hospital chain of corporate hospital backed by serious money from international investors.
And the dumb babu of NABH does a cut copy paste of the latest JCI standards and trots it out as updated standards of NABH. And expects both to follow exactly same standards.
No wonder smaller standlone hospitals and even chains of smallers hospitals do not find this financially viable proposition and opt to either shut down or being gobbled up by corporate behemoths.
